For this project I designed a corset and mirco shorts pleather set. The top is made up of ten pattern pieces, boning, lined with canvas, with an open zipper in the back. I paired this corset with a matching micro short look with two small darts in the front and back to add some definition to the fit. For the extra allusion of shape I added a slight flare to the legs and used an invisible zipper closure.

Showcasing my original mock up pieces in which I switched the pattern from including darts in the middle bust to being two completely separate pieces in the bust area. The next steps shown are my pattern pieces with my fabric and then the outer shell of my final product. In my next steps, I cut and sewed the same pieces as preivously shown, but in canvas fabric. I then sewed boning onto the seams of the canvas, leaving space for seam allowance when the two layers of the garment are sewn together.
